Meet Our Founder

Josiah S. Osibodu is a trusted advisor and nationally recognized authority in unclaimed property, bringing more than 30 years of experience helping organizations navigate complex, multistate compliance and audit matters with confidence and precision.

As managing partner of Moyer & Osibodu Unclaimed Property Services, Josiah leads the firm’s mission of providing ai-driven unclaimed property solutions for corporate America. He works with companies across diverse industries to proactively manage unclaimed property risk, resolve state audits, complete voluntary disclosure agreements, and implement scalable compliance programs that stand up to regulatory scrutiny.

In addition to his deep regulatory and accounting background, Josiah is a Certified AI Consultant, leveraging advanced analytics, automation, and data-driven methodologies to enhance unclaimed property discovery, reporting accuracy, and audit readiness. His approach combines regulatory insight with modern technology—helping clients move from reactive compliance to forward-looking risk management.

Before co-founding Moyer & Osibodu, Josiah served as a director in the unclaimed property group at Deloitte & Touche LLP and Thomson Reuters. His career also includes experience within state government, industry, and other global public accounting firms, providing him with a rare, end-to-end perspective on unclaimed property from every side of the table.

Josiah is a co-inventor of the patented unclaimed property method and system and a co-author of the unclaimed property treatise published by Bloomberg BNA. He is a frequent speaker and published author on unclaimed property topics, known for translating highly technical issues into clear, actionable guidance for executives and compliance teams.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida and Pennsylvania institutes of CPAs, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the International Association of Artificial Intelligence Consultants.
